Reading Take it from Trinity has been an unexpectedly relatable experience. Trinity’s reflections on communication, particularly her preference for using voice notes, resonated deeply with me. Her thoughtful unpacking of this habit — as a means of authentic self-expression — felt both refreshing and incredibly human. I also appreciated her honest portrayal of the transition from college to the real world. Trinity doesn’t shy away from admitting that it was an overwhelming adjustment, one that left her feeling lost at times. Through her vulnerability, she captures the ongoing journey of self-discovery in a way that feels both sincere and inspiring. Her willingness to share the lessons she’s learning, even in real-time, makes the book feel less like a memoir and more like a conversation with a trusted friend 

 So I randomly found a page to read and came across “Moving in Alignment with Change”….i felt that it was strangely accurate how I came across this page/title out of all of the book. This spoke out to me because in this day and age everyone follow so many trends on social media rather than just being themselves or being original. This portion was short and sweet but it spoke to you and gave value.

I also read another portion of the book about Trin’s lil brother “Boo”. Talk about DEEP. Whew….

10/10 Read! I won’t spoil it for you. 

 Page 94 “life tight me to be emotionally guarded….”

My initial reaction to this book was, “this is very well written.” The poems are great; however the “pause to ponder” sections really challenge you to self reflect and dig deep which I love.

This is a great read. 10/10 recommend 

 Literally one of the most relatable books I’ve read this year! Upon receiving the book, I flipped open to a random page and the first thing that stuck out was the phrase “at the end of the day, the day gotta end” AND DO! I honestly enjoyed this book and the thought provoking experience it gave! Must read! 

 I love how it feels like I’m talking with a homegirl while reading this book. It makes me feel seen from the relatable situations about dating and I feel comforted by the uplifting affirmations. The mood was set for each poem and it definitely gave raw emotion. A very thought provoking read as well as an excellent book to pick up and read affirmations from daily. 

 Take it from Trinity is a very inspiring narrative from Trinity Bankhead. It reflects the young adult Trinity into the transformation into her own “self” it reflects how she was brought up and her beliefs as a young child and the transition into adulthood. It touches on human healing and growth while allowing myself to touch base with my inner feelings and emotions. It’s a great read!
